Porphyry is a volcanic rock that has been used as a paving stone for centuries. It is easy to quarry and due to its natural flat shape is very hardwearing and has uneven edges and a textured surface to provide slip resistance. Porphyry is excellent for driveways and paths. Thickness of the individual pieces ranges from 30-60mm thick.
